Pothole Problem Solved

This pothole has been around on Palmerston Square for a while. Recently someone anonymously filled it in with earth and planted flowers. Neighbourliness and creativity abound.


Lilian is the author of Web of Angels, a novel about a mom with DID (multiple personalities). She's also the author of the historical novels, The River Midnight and The Singing Fire, about secrets, friendship and motherhood in 19th century Poland and London.

    Hm, Ottawa has a LOT of potholes – I think I shall start a movement to do this here. A truly lovely idea…

    lol, what would be a truly amusing protest would be to plant Pot plants in all the pot holes. OK, maybe keep it legal and plant Hemp instead. Would certainly draw attention to them!

    Our roads are awful at the moment, after another freezing winter. I love the idea of urban gardening in them! It could be a sort of overground underground movement. 🙂
