Lilian is the author of Web of Angels, a novel about a mom with DID (multiple personalities). She's also the author of the historical novels, The River Midnight and The Singing Fire, about secrets, friendship and motherhood in 19th century Poland and London.

  1. Good article. It sums up a lot of the things I have heard at talks and so on. Apart, alas, from the idea that authors get paid well for their work. In a few cases it’s true, but all too often, the author doesn’t come out of the deal well….

  2. If publishers would stop paying mega-millions in their mad rush and fantasy of getting the next mega-seller, it might work out better for everyone all around. More for other authors and less pressure for any one acquisition.
