Runner Ducks by Bjoern Clauss

In honour of my friend Cas’s new ducklings.

Indian runner ducks originate from Indonesian, so named because they don’t fly or waddle, but run, laying their eggs on the go. They love to forage and they love to swim, but mainly they run around grassy meadows where they can find worms and flies. Only the females quack. (More here.)

And apparently play with dogs…

Lilian is the author of Web of Angels, a novel about a mom with DID (multiple personalities). She's also the author of the historical novels, The River Midnight and The Singing Fire, about secrets, friendship and motherhood in 19th century Poland and London.
